BtN Web Secrets

This week we watched the ‘Web Secrets’ news story as a part of the latest Behind the News episode. Web Secrets focuses on the information that we share with our parents, friends and the wider community.  We had quite a discussion about the topic of cybersafety. We ask that you take the time to watch the video to look at the different facts and opinions. Then make your vote on this week’s BtN poll. You can even tell us your thoughts about this topic in the comment section below. Remember, FIRST NAME only.

Swim Safe – BtN

Swim Safe – Behind the News

This week the Year 4 students have been participating in a swimming program. As part of the program we have been watching some BtN news stories about water safety. The Swim Safe story informed us about the role of Surf Rescuers and the importance of staying safe at the beach. We learnt that it is important to always swim between the flags.

Drowning Danger

This Behind the News story taught us all about the dangers of rips at the beach.  Many of the students were very interesting in learning about how rips work and the importance of looking for calm, dark, gaps.

Pyjama Day

Yesterday we had a Pyjama Day. This special day was organised by our SRC students and Mr Duncan. Students and teachers came to school in their pyjamas. Each person brought a $2 coin to donate to State Schools’ Relief. Some of us even came dressed in matching pyjamas! We had a great day!
